Don't Let The Sun Go Down

I don’t know about you but I think there is a spirit of offense in the land. People get offended over the silliest things; but to let it fester for two or three weeks, and say that you’re hurt, please excuse me if this offends you—but that’s anger! I've heard it said that depression is “anger turned inward.”

Ephesians 4:26

When angry, do not sin; do not ever let your wrath (your exasperation, your fury or indignation) last until the sun goes down.

We must refuse to let even righteous indignation last the night! I like what the Messes You Up Bible says,

(MSG)

^26-27 Go ahead and be angry. You do well to be angry—but don't use your anger as fuel for revenge. And don't stay angry. Don't go to bed angry. Don't give the Devil that kind of foothold in your life.

Or as Yoda says, “Fear leads to anger; anger leads to hate; hate leads to suffering.”
