Can You Come To God Naked And Unashamed

Will you allow God to see you naked? I know that sounds absurd since God can see thru the darkest night—He doesn’t need light, He is light! There is nothing hidden from God:

Hebrews 4:13 (AMP)
Not a creature exists that is concealed from God’s sight, but all things are open and exposed, naked and defenseless to the eyes of Him with Whom we have to do.

and

Job 34:21-22 (MSG)
God has his eyes on every man and woman.
    He doesn’t miss a trick.
There is no night dark enough, no shadow deep enough,
to hide those who do evil.
God doesn’t need to gather any more evidence;
their sin is an open-and-shut case.

Before the fall Adam and Eve were “naked and unashamed.” They walked daily with God in open fellowship with Him. They tried to hide their shame with fig leaves. They didn’t know God can see thru fig leaves.

Are you walking around in fig leaves? Does your life feel kind of scratchy? Don’t hide from God:

Hebrews 4:16 (AMP)
Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God’s unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it].

Hebrews 10:22 (KJV)
Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

John 3:19-21 (MSG)
This is the crisis we’re in: God-light streamed into the world, but men and women everywhere ran for the darkness. They went for the darkness because they were not really interested in pleasing God. Everyone who makes a practice of doing evil, addicted to denial and illusion, hates God-light and won’t come near it, fearing a painful exposure. But anyone working and living in truth and reality welcomes God-light so the work can be seen for the God-work it is.

Let us run to God when we sin, naked and unashamed!

Can God Trust You With The Sin He’s Allowed In Your Life

Can God trust me with sin? All of us sin. God knows every sin we will commit. Was dear ol’ God surprised when Adam and Eve sinned? He wouldn’t be God if it did surprise Him.

Is that what you think when you sin, that it takes God by surprise?

God knew about sin and made provision for it before the world was even created.

Revelation 13:8 (KJV)
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship the beast, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

The #1 question of unbelief by far is, If God forgives my future sins doesn’t that give me license to sin and do as I please?

Jesus died on the cross over 2000 years ago. I was born 59 years ago. In 1975 I gave my life in total surrender to Christ. In order for my past sins to be forgiven the blood of Christ had to extend to the future beyond Calvary to 1975 and cleanse me.

Did the blood of Christ stop cleansing me every time I sinned thereafter? Am I guilty of sin? I’m not denying that I have sin in my life, I’m the chief of sinners. What I am proposing is that I am not guilty of sin since Jesus took that guilt away once and for all! I do not have to pay the price for my guilt!

Hebrews 10:1-2 (AMP)
1 For since the Law has merely a rude outline (foreshadowing) of the good things to come—instead of fully expressing those things—it can never by offering the same sacrifices continually year after year make perfect those who approach [its altars].

2 For if it were otherwise, would [these sacrifices] not have stopped being offered? Since the worshipers had once for all been cleansed, they would no longer have any guilt or consciousness of sin.

Verse two says, Once worshipers have been once for all cleansed, they would no longer have any guilt or consciousness of sin! No guilt! Do you walk around with guilt?

Hebrews 10:22 (AMP)
Let us all come forward and draw near with true (honest and sincere) hearts in unqualified assurance and absolute conviction engendered by faith (by that leaning of the entire human personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness), having our hearts sprinkled and purified from a guilty (evil) conscience and our bodies cleansed with pure water.

Hebrews 10:14 (AMP)
For by a single offering He has forever completely cleansed and perfected those who are consecrated and made holy.

It’s time to stop condemning people just because you have strong cojones and can resist 99.99% of the temptations that come your way! There is none good!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1 John 2:1-2 (MSG)
I write this, dear children, to guide you out of sin. But if anyone does sin, we have a Priest-Friend in the presence of the Father: Jesus Christ, righteous Jesus. When he served as a sacrifice for our sins, he solved the sin problem for good—not only ours, but the whole world's.
